Basemap received an update last night that includes a number of new features and enhancements to existing capabilities:
- There is an entirely new interface available for attaching project files to the points, lines, and polygons on your project map. You can now attach existing project files, or upload new files from your computer to attach to the map. When uploading new files, you can define tags for them and they'll appear in your Project Files list.
- Related to that, there's a new interface for managing the files that are already attached to map features. When a feature has one or more files attached, that's shown in the data attributes on the right sidebar. Click the "File(s) Attached" link to view the files, where you can share, download, modify, or detach them from the selected feature.
- When viewing files in a Project FileRoom, you can now easily modify the tags assigned to those files, including removing the file from the FileRoom by un-tagging it as needed.
- We fixed an issue that could cause problems when downloading KML/KMZ data from the map if your Map Layer names had special/unicode characters in them (such as degree symbols, etc).
As always, don't hesitate to reach out us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
